The "Girl" Bedroom

I know you've been waiting in anticipation for pictures of the "girl" bedroom.  Well, you can breathe easy knowing that they are here for you to see at any time...Just kidding.  But seriously, here are pictures of our "girl" bedroom.  I want to clarify for others who haven't read my previous blog.  No, we are not pregnant.  No, we don't know when we will be having children.  (My answer to that question will, from now on, be, "When God lets us know, we'll let you know.") :) Yes, our guest bedrooms were designed with children in mind...in the far future hopefully.  As my boss likes to say, we have "just in case" rooms.  :)  Our other bedroom is hunting themed.  This bedroom is done in a Mary Poppins theme.  Mary Poppins was my favorite movie as a child.  Heck, what am I talking about?  It's still my favorite movie.  My Dad will forever hate the song "Chim Chim Cheree" with as many times as I watched the movie as a child.  I watched it so often, that the film in the VHS disintegrated. I can even say "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" backwards (like Julie Andrews says it, not how they say it in the Broadway version).  So, my bedroom at my parents house growing up was decorated in everything Mary Poppins.  I have two snowglobes, one cookbook, the original book by P.L. Travers, one of the follow-up books, Minnie Mouse dressed as Mary, a Mary Poppins figurine I bought at Disney World, the Mary Barbie doll dressed in the "Jolly Holiday" outfit, 9 framed stills from the movie, and the piesta resistance, a large tapestry my sister bought me for Christmas one year.  I knew that I wouldn't be able to just put all of this in a box, so I decorated a guest bedroom with all of it.  "It's practically perfect, in every way."  Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Before
After - I can't tell you what color that is other than purple.  I bought two gallons of it, and that was too dark.  So, I bought one gallon of white paint and mixed it all together.  Sorry if you like it, I couldn't even tell you the original purple's name.

Before
After - The "Umbrella" painting is a housewarming gift from one of my sister's best friends.  I LOVE it.  Fits in perfectly.
