Kenlie's Birthday, Family Celebration, and Fire Rings...Oh My!!!

Tuesday, September 17th was Kenlie's 6th birthday!  She invited a lot of us to go eat at Peralta's to celebrate.  She opened the present from us while at the restaurant.  We got her a fashion drawing pad.  She broke it out after dinner and started drawing.  This chick is all into fashion right now.  She was showing Casey a YouTube video Sunday evening of how she wants her make-up done for Halloween.  Crazy!  :)  We also brought Bud's birthday present.  We missed his birthday party in July because we were out of town, and I never got his gift to him.  So, he got his that night as well.  We got him an 18-wheeler pulling some John Deere tractors.  He LOVED it and was so excited to be getting it. :)

Friday night, Nick & I went on a date night.  He called during the day and said, "How about I take you out to the winery tonight?"  I said, "Just the two of us?"  He said, "Yep.  Just us.  Get you some sparkling grape juice to take with you."  So that's just what we did.  We had a great time!  We were going to watch a movie once we got home, but I had to finish working on my NB hostess gifts, and Nick ended up falling asleep on the couch.  But we greatly enjoyed our dinner at the winery. :)

Saturday after our baby shower in New Boston, we had a family birthday celebration for Sister, Aunt Nee, and Uncle David.  We sat outside after eating to enjoy the beautiful weather.  I got some pictures of the present opening.

After we got home on Saturday, Nick & I headed over to his parents' house for hot dogs and s'mores.  Since we had torrential rain on Friday, the burn ban was lifted in Camp county.  Melanie wanted to use the fire ring Nick's business had installed right away.  So, Alan, Tovah, & Owen joined us all, and we had a weenie and marshmallow roast!  We had a good evening, and I am so excited fall seems to have graced us with its presence.  Just hope it sticks around!

My friend, Maegan, and I went shopping on Sunday afternoon.  I had some duplicate items I needed to return, so she went with me.  She has an almost six month old, so she was giving me new momma advice.  We also had to pick up some batting at Hancock Fabrics.  I'm going to attempt to recover a glider and ottoman for Brayden's nursery.  We'll see how that goes.  After I dropped Maegan off at her house, Nick & I went to church for movie night.  We watched Forever Strong.  It was a good movie and the nachos were delectable!

From here until Brayden's born, I plan on spending my weekends in/around Pittsburg.  I don't want to get too far from home.

New Boston Baby Shower...Oh My!!!

This past Saturday, Sister and thirteen other lovely ladies showered myself, Nick, and Brayden.  We feel so loved and blessed for everything!  It was so cute in a vintage baseball theme.

Sister borrowed baseballs from a lot of different people.  There was one that belonged to our next door neighbor (who is now 17) that we babysat when we were younger.  It had his initials on it, and Sister put that on the sign-in table.  It was very sweet. :)

There was a baseball cake and cupcakes, plus all of the food had a baseball theme to it: cracker jacks, corn dogs, peanuts, etc.  I loved it!

Thank you to everyone who made this shower possible and for coming to celebrate this little life God has given us.  We are truly blessed!

And for some reason, this thing loaded the pictures out of order.  It's frustrating to move them around, so sorry they aren't in chronological order.
